Discoveries have a slight problem, in that the gear lever gaiter hooks onto the bottom of the gear knob. So if you just replace the knob you are left with a floppy gaiter. If you are creative it may be possible to correct this by cutting and glueing the gaiter. Or you can take the easy option and use my polished aluminium finishing piece shown in the photo below.
